In 1825 Emperor Minh Mang paid a visit and donated a large amount of money enough for the reconstruction and renovation in 1827. In the pagoda, in the center was seated the huge statue of red-faced Quan Kong with long beard, dressed in the blue overcoat. The weak hearted people  dared not look straight at his eyes that looked imposing and portly.  In addition, close to him was the old statue of Chau Thuong standing in a posture of a man who was ready to sacrifice his life for his master. The statue renovated in 1864, was again upgraded by Minh Huong Commune as seen nowadays. Before the central altar, there was the big sign carved with the  version by Duke Nguyen Nghiem (Nguyen Du’s  father), and names of Lord Trinh’s Generals against the Tay Son. This pagoda is popularly visited for lot—drawings.
