Country house 14 square meters in Lithuania
• Country house of 14 square meters in Lithuania
Country house Etno Hut, designed by the studio Utopium, is a compact version of an area of only 14 square meters, suitable for different scenarios. It can be used for a romantic getaway, as a creative studio, rooms at the hotel or a yoga camp, surrounded by the breathtaking nature of the Lithuanian. It all started with a personal architectural project and the desire to create a home that would be minimal in size, but it is able to meet the basic needs of two people.
Project Etno Hut implemented between two major Lithuanian cities. Location was chosen so that the house was far enough away from civilization, allowing you to feel cut off from the daily bustle of the city, but relatively close to the road without taking much time. The design is set on a hillside, turning to the northern part of the dense forest and directing the main window to the south, to the picturesque landscape. Minimum impact on the environment has become a fundamental point. Steel foundation of the building is screwed into the ground by hand, and the whole structure is made of self-supporting insulated panels and assembled on-site for 3 days. Area under the house is partially closed to hide cables and pipes, and the remainder is used for storage.
The house has a fully equipped kitchenette, a bed with one extra pull-out bed, and a bathroom with a spacious shower. Project Architect Ema Butrimavichyute refused transformable furniture excluded landings and all that would make this tiny house difficult and inconvenient to use.
