• Heydar Aliyev Center - a new symbol of Baku
Erected in the year of the Heydar Aliyev Center by the famous architect Zaha Hadid - is ultra-modern Cultural Center, which has become a new symbol of Baku and whole Azerbaijan. It is a complex structure area of 57 519 m², which comprises auditorium, museum, concert hall, exhibition halls and administrative offices. It is named after the third president of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.
The project was virtually no straight lines used. The building itself is a form of wave-like soaring and smooth merger with the ground.
This structure represents not only the post-modern style of architecture, but also the duration and infinity. The lines on the building symbolize the connection of the past with the future.
When installing the roof 4 hectare 12,027 panels were used a specific composition and different sizes in the form of different geometric shapes: triangle, rectangle, trapezoid, parallelogram.
Due to the white color of the light beams move across the surface of the building and emphasize standing out of the building.
In addition to the main building of the complex includes underground parking and a park area of 13, 58 ha.
The complex has two ornamental ponds and an artificial lake.
