Matter Design Company in partnership with CEMEX has designed a series of monolithic concrete structures of large size that could be collected like giant building blocks in a large, functional structure. Despite the fact that the concrete blocks weighing many tons, and have sufficient strength to survive for hundreds of years, their unique shape makes it relatively easy to move them even by one person.

To design these blocks there are several approaches. Massive stone blocks - IBC, if shorter - made of concrete with different density, which allows precise control over where the center of gravity of an object ends, adding stability and balance. The resulting structure is still too heavy to lift a person, but they can rock, rotate, tilt, push, carry and even roll from one place to another with astonishing ease and precision. Therefore, the idea that a 82-ton statue Moai rocked and transferred through the Easter Island to their final location, it is currently plausible. But this experiment was not simply confirms this hypothesis. Given the advances in 3D-printing, especially on a large scale, this approach can be used for the design and construction of the permanent, long-lasting structures in places where a truck or a tower crane will be impossible or too expensive to use. In areas where flooding is a threat or the water level has increased, the locals could easily build a concrete wall. One day you could even collect their new home, as if from a giant Lego set of concrete blocks.
