Why do with age, time flies faster than a child?

In the course of growing up in virtually every human being there is a feeling that is greatly accelerated during the time - it would seem, it is only recently woke up, and already it's time to go to bed. For many years scientists have tried to determine the cause of this phenomenon, and a new hypothesis put forward by researchers at Duke University, seems the most realistic. She says that feeling acceleration time due to changes in the aging brain, namely in the information processing speed and the number of received visual images.

Why do with age, time flies faster than a child?

It was already known that the sense of time changes due to the fact that an adult pays less attention to surrounding events due to the fact that they are already familiar with it - the time is rapid for him. Children, in turn, is interested in all the events and their brain processes much more information - accordingly, for them as if flowing much slower. A team of scientists led by Professor Adrian Bejaia decided to dig a little deeper and found that children are much more visual information than adults. They proved this by comparing the frequency of eye movements of people over the years. It turned out that the children's eyes "run" is very common, and their young minds handle massive amounts of image data, and very quickly.

Slow data processing in adults due to the fact that over the years neuronal plexus complicated and become longer in their brains. Consequently, the signals passing takes longer than before. Thus, people may seem that their childhood to 10 years lasted very long, whereas adult life is moving at lightning speed.
